7 Day Devotion: Feb 3, 2020

Day 1 - Seek Godly Counsel Seek godly counsel before making important decisions. For without counsel, people fall and plans go awry; but in the multitude of counsel there is safety and plans are established according to Proverbs 11:14 & 15:22. Prayer "Father God, as we seek counsel with You, lead us to godly people that we may also seek counsel as we establish our plans to accomplish our 2020 vision. In Jesus name. Amen."

Day 2 - Speak Words Of Life Today.

Proverbs 16:24 says, Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, they are Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Therefore, let us speak words of life to ourselves and others.

Prayer "Father God, help us use our mouth to speak life to ourselves and others that we may build each other up. In Jesus name. Amen."

Day 3 - Your Nothing Is Something To God.

God can take what you consider to be nothing and turn it into more than enough if you are willing to trust and believe the plan and instructions of God according to 2 King 4:1-7. What is your nothing? God wants to turn your nothing into something. Even if it’s yourself.

Prayer "Father God, we turn everything that looks like nothing to us, including ourselves, over to you that you may make it, or ourselves something of value. In Jesus name. Amen."

Day 4 - The Real Enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 reminded us that we are not in a Physical war. We are in a Spiritual war. Our fight is not against flesh and blood (each other), the real enemy that we fight against is the devil and his evil forces. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, if you are going to overcome these spiritual attack lead by the devil himself, you must: BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT. PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST THE WILES (PLANS/SCHEMES/TRICKS) OF THE DEVIL according to Ephesians 6:10-11.

Prayer - "Father God, help us to be ever mindful that the real enemy is the devil and that the devil is already defeated. For Jesus defeated the devil over 2000 years ago on the cross at calvary and gave us the VICTORY! In Jesus name I pray and give thanks. Amen."

Day 5 - Power In Early Morning Prayer.

If we are going to be effective in prayer, we should follow the model of Jesus who rose up early in the morning a great while before day to pray in a solitary place according to Mark 1:35. Proverbs 8:17 also says, those that seek me early shall find me. There’s power in early morning prayer.

Prayer - "Father God, we come boldly before the throne of grace early this morning seeking divine wisdom, guidance, and direction for our lives. In Jesus name. Amen."

Day 6 - You Have What You Say.

Mark 11:23 says YOU HAVE WHAT YOU SAY WHEN YOU PRAY. Therefore, When you pray, say the TRUTH of God's promises and not the FACTS of your problems.TRUTH is that which agrees with the final reality/authority of the promises in the WORD OF GOD. FACTS are the current state of things in your life. Example: Joel 3:10 declares, LET THE WEAK SAY, I AM STRONG. Weakness here is the FACT-the problem-the current state of things. Strength is the TRUTH-the final reality/authority of the promises in the word of God. Therefore, when you pray say I am strong.

Prayer - "Father God, help us speak the TRUTH of the promises in your word and not the FACTS of our problems that are currently in our lives until your TRUTH change our FACTS. In Jesus name. Amen."

Day 7 - Laughter Is Good Medicine.

Take Some Time To Laugh Today. For Laughter is good for the soul, and it has healing powers according to Proverbs 17:22 that says, A MERRY HEART DOES GOOD, LIKE MEDICINE, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

Prayer - "Father God, help us laugh at life today, knowing that no matter what happens, we have victory in Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus name. Amen."
